American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Colette Bread and Bakeshop is by far the top bakery in the Atlanta metro (including far north and south). This is my second vist and the quiche is world class, outstanding crust and flavorful filling, took it home with me. I traveled 35 miles for it, stayed in the area just for fun. Ponce City Market is close, so all good. I'll be back.

if colette ever put a cot in the corner of their bakery, I would happily pay top dollar rent and sleep soundly each night to the smell of the most perfect scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and sourdough bread our human hands have to offer. (though I would probably need earplugs. i'm imagining they have an early start.) everyone is always friendly. the coffee is always hot. no pastry experience has ever been anything less than otherworldly. I'm saying you should go. and bring a friend. the friend could be me! cardamom bun please!!

Such a cute gem in this part of town. Bakery items were amazingly fresh even at 1:30pm (30 mins before close). Parking is a little bit tricky, but there is on street nearby. Pastries were well priced as well!

Ay this is so good Came for coffee, stayed longer than planned. Everything tastes… intentional. Latte was smooth, pastry was perfectly flaky, not overly sweet, ot cheesy, but just right. You can tell they care. The space feels easy. Not loud, not trying too hard. Just calm, good energy. I’d come back without thinking.
